December 2, 2024 Poem of the Day - The Price I Pay

I kicked off December with a new little challenge! I’ll be writing a poem a day all month based on the below prompts, and so many people have decided to join in the fun (/masochism) over on my social media!

I always find prompt challenges like this exhausting, but it’s a good kind of exhaustion because it means my brain is getting some good exercising. Instead of just waiting for inspiration to strike, it has to claw inspiration from the prompt. I love it. (Remind me I said that when we’re halfway through this and my brain is broken!)
